Artist to Watch: International Star Tinie Tempah

I’ll have to admit, we are a little late on giving credit where it sure is due. For those of you whose eyes have not yet been opened, allow me to introduce you to Tinie Tempah. Tinie is a British-born rapper  that exploded onto the scene in 2010 and hasn’t stopped since.

The 21-year old began created a buzz in the UK years ago and released his first mixtape in 2007 titled Hood Economics Room 147. Since then he has toured with Jay-Z, graced the Stage with Snoop Dogg at Glastonbury inked a deal with Parlophone Resords put out an official album titled Disc-Overy in October 2010.


Tinie, born Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu , has worked with an assortment of artists, such as Wiz Khalifa, Tinchy Stryder, Snoop Dogg, Chipmunk, Jay-Z, JLS, Rihanna, Wiley, Chiddy Bang, Travis Barker, and many more. He was also this year’s winner of the 2011 BET Awards “Best International Act: UK” as well as “Best Breakthrough Act” & “Best Single” at the Brit Awards and “Best Contemporary Song” at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Having hits like “Frisky” and “Pass Out” that climbed up the charts easily and a core fan base, Tinie is bound for a smooth transition into hip-hop in the U.S. and international success.
