Back in August of 2014, concert promoter Eric Johnson was murdered backstage of a Wiz Khalifa and Jeezy concert in Mountain View, California. TMZ has reported that they have retrieved documents in which the family of Eric Johnson said the shooter looked like Jeezy. This same claim has been said in a deposition as well.

Jeezy was arrested for possession of an assault rifle following that shooting, he has since denied any connection to it. The family claims to have been kept in the dark on information, mainly why Jeezy was never charged. They now are serving this wrongful death lawsuit for ‘funeral expenses and other damages’.

At this time Jeezy or his representatives have not made a comment.

NBA legend Shaq is showing to a one of a kind individual as he was a basketball player. Shaq agreed to pay for the funeral of 13 year old Malachi Hemphill, who last week accidentally shot and killed himself on Instagram live. After hearing of the incident, Shaq reportedly called and then visited the family where he offered to pay, according to 11 Alive.

The mother, Shantirea Bankston said, “We just broke down and started crying because Malachi didn’t have any insurance.We wasn’t prepared to bury him this young. We didn’t have insurance for him. So to have that from Shaquille O’Neal it was a blessing and very touching, and we appreciate everything he do for the community.”

It was a terrible event and Bankston feels that there can be a lesson learned to prevent other parents from this feeling of grief she says, “If one person, one or two people would have called his mom and let her know that he was playing with this gun, he may still be here today…That’s the message we are trying to put out there: if you see something, say something. And Maybe Malachi would still be here with his friends dancing and joking around.”

Troy Ave’s interview on “The Breakfast Club” last week caused quite a reaction. The family of Ave’s bodyguard that died in the Irving Plaza shooting last year, has come out to speak against what Troy said in the interview. Now the lawyer of podcaster Taxstone, who is sitting in jail in relation to the shooting, is asking some questions.

Ken Montgomery, Tax’s lawyer, wrote a letter about the case according to Bossip and made the case for his client to get out of jail. He notes Taxstone is not at risk to runaway as he podcast gives him a good job. He then questions why Troy Ave is out on bail, who faces more serious charges.

Tax’s bail was revoked and has not officially been charged but could be facing possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and the receiving of the firearm through interstate commerce. Troy Ave is facing an attempted murder charge.

The world lost one of the best ever to do comedy today as Charlie Murphy lost his battle with leukemia in a New York hospital, he was 57. Charlie Murphy was also the older brother of the legendary Eddie Murphy as well. Charlie starred in many films and television shows such as CB4, The Player’s Club, The Boondocks & Black Jesus.

Murphy is best known for his stint on Chappelle’s Show where he helped write and co-starred. He brought the infamous ‘Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories’ to life based on his experiences with Rick James and Price which become pop culture lore.

Charlie Murphy will always be remembered for his contributions in comedy, he has brought a laugh to so many people and he will be missed. He is survived by his brother and three children.

You really have to wonder what the thought process is behind this current presidential administration… In the newest of a long line of controversy coming from Washington D.C. , White House press secretary Sean Spicer is facing a large amount of backlash when alluding that Syrian president Bashar al-Assad was much worse than Adolf Hitler because,”You know, you had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”

That is a real quote from Spicer today. When he was asked to clarify his statement a few moments later, Spicer said, “”I think when you come to sarin gas, [Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing,”

At this point, you have to wonder if Sean Spicer is trying to get fired, speaking and having to defend Donald Trump is a tedious task. Or if the denial of the Holocaust horrors is one of the many misguided beliefs in this administration, what other historical facts and tragedies do they view in this manner?

Last night in Brooklyn, Tupac Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Many artists contributed to celebrating the life and legendary music of the late icon. Snoop Dogg read an emotional speech on behalf of Tupac, as the two were close and label mates on Death Row Records.

I can’t believe it’s been 21 years since we actually got to hear Tupac, not the one clip on YouTube, not the hologram, Tupac Amaru Shakur the human being. Twenty-one years ago, Tupac Shakur was taken from all of us. He was only twenty-five years old, too. Dare me to say that he was gone too soon. When I sat down to gather my thoughts about my late and great, my homie and my brother there’s one thought that kept coming back: Tupac was actually really good. While many remember him now as some kind of thugged out superhero, Tupac really was only good and he represented through his music like no one before. It’s the fact that he never shied away from it. He wore it like a badge of honor. With an unapologetic voice, Pac embraced those contradictions that proved we ain’t just a character out of someone else’s story book. To be human is to be many things at once. Strong and bold. Hard headed and intellectual. Courageous and afraid. Loving and vengeful. Revolutionary and – oh, yeah I’m getting fucked up.

So, while we may be here to celebrate one of music’s most prolific and outspoken artists as he’s rightfully enshrined as one of the greatest musicians to ever do it, I’m here to make sure that Pac is remembered the way he would have wanted to be: a strong black man who stood up. Not somebody who acted like a rapper, but as a human.

His music was also performed in celebration by artists Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, YG, Treach of Naught by Nature and T.I. This induction makes Tupac the sixth rapper in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but only the first to be celebrated as an individual.

The ex-wife of Suge Knight, Sharitha Golden, is responding the new theory that she is partly responsible for the death of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur. In an alleged affidavit, it stated that Suge Knight knew who had killed Tupac Shakur and revealed that it was an attempted murder on his instead placed by his former wife and Reggie Wright Jr, the former Death Row security chief.

Knight’s son and lawyer have denied this as well in recent days and now Golden is as well. In a video that TMZ acquired, Sharitha Golden denies that rumors and is very upset about having to respond to such allegations.

I’m so damn sick of getting 100,000 calls about this…No way in hell I would have murdered Tupac. For what reason? This ridiculous theory that I needed to get half of Death Row. I already had half of Death Row, America. And when Tupac died, what did Death Row become after that? Zero. Nothing. A downfall.

While bringing up the harm this has done for her daughter, Golden appears to be considering legal action as well. She says, “Let’s stop being ridiculous. I’m not one for lawsuits and giving people relevance to any stupidity, but this one deserves my attention real good”

With the new Tupac Shakur film All Eyez On Me coming out this summer, the collective demand for answers to Tupac’s murder will grow and be revisited. No matter how outlandish the rumors are the public loves a good Tupac theory.

In an attempt to profit off the real life struggles and issues of oppression in the United States, Pepsi released a new ad starring Kendall Jenner and it misses the mark. The commercial is just over two minutes long and features a crowd of protesters making their way towards a line of police officers. While marching, the large crowd passes a Kendall Jenner photo shoot in the street, because that happens all the time right?

Now of course Jenner is not the only one to join the protest in this spot. A man playing the cello and a Muslim woman in hijab join in as well because false sense of diversity is needed! Now this cringe worthy ad continues and is seemingly just laughable but if there was any way to redeem it, the ending kills it in swift fashion.

We see Kendall give a Pepsi to an officer which he accepts, takes a sip, smiles and just like that oppression is solved by a culture appropriating, privileged white girl giving out a carbonated sugar drink. Fantastic.

Since Pepsi took so much inspiration from the real life social climate, maybe they would have noticed how anyone other than Kendall Jenner would have been pepper sprayed instantly. Had they been two to three shades darker you run the risk of being shot and beaten.

ESPN’s Sage Steele is being benched as the NBA playoffs are about to hit our airwaves. Steele who was the host of NBA Countdown on ABC and ESPN until today when it was reported that she would be replaced by Sportsnation host Michelle Beadle. Now when a African-American woman loses her job randomly, most black people would have her back…well this case is not too random and there are various reasons Sage is not getting much support by the black community.

Sage Steele has expressed some very strong and interesting views on two issues that has the people calling for her head. When Donald Trump tried to enact the Travel Muslim Ban, Steele took to her Instagram page and did not show any solidarity or compassion. She instead complained about having to miss her flight.

She also had harsh words on former San Franciso quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, when he was taking a knee during the National Anthem in protesting police brutality. So today’s news was met with celebrations by many on the internet.

According to a quote from Ashley Walters, who stars in the show, a special role should be carved out for the head honcho at OVO. “We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him…” he told the Daily Mirror

It is well-known that Drake got his big start in the industry when he stared in the television show Degrassi:The Next Generation. He has since gone on to become one of the biggest musical artists today and this move would show he wants to conquer the silver screen too.

The Georgetown Hoyas have a new men’s basketball coach and he is no stranger. Former Georgetown and New York Knicks star, Patrick Ewing, is set to lead the team following the release of John Thompson III on March 23rd. Thompson III is the son of John Thompson Jr. who coached Ewing during their incredible run which saw the Hoyas reach three national championship games and with one victory between 1982 and 1985.

Ewing who is currently the associate head coach of the Charlotte Hornets said this in a statement made earlier: Georgetown is my home and it is a great honor for me to return to my alma mater and serve as the next head coach. I have been preparing to be a head coach for many years and can’t wait to return to the Hilltop

Georgetown is a historic powerhouse in college basketball and the hire makes a lot sense considering the team has missed the NCAA tournament three of the last four years. Finishing 14-18 this season, Ewing will have a lot of work to do but this hire brings a spotlight back to the program.

Florida rapper XXXTENTACION has been souring Drake’s name ever since there was a debate between fans if Drake had stolen or bit his flow on the song “KMT”. On XXXTENTACION’s behalf there really seems to be an issue, as he went on Twitter and not so subliminally told Drake not come to Florida or it could get violent.

Member of the Migos, Offset, was on Instagram live today and listened to comments made by XXXTENTACION disparaging Drake found them ridiculous. The “Bad and Boujee” rapper said in the video,”You niggas is silly. How you unheard of talking about a nigga stole your swag? We ain’t even heard of you, shorty. Get your ass out of jail and run that shit up. Whatever your name is. You tripping.”

These words have seemingly prompted XXXTENTACION, as he responded on twitter with the following tweet.

Ex NBA Guard and former New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher just lost his most prized possessions. Reported by TMZ Fisher’s home was robbed for jewelry that was worth over $300,000 dollars. This also included his not one, not two , not three but five NBA championship rings that he won with the Los Angels Lakers.TMZ stated:

Law enforcement sources tell us the NBA legend reported a burglary at his home Monday morning — telling police he left the home at 7:30 AM and when he returned 3 hours later, it was clear someone had been inside.

We’re told officials believe the perp got into the house through a side door — and went for his jewelry. Among the stolen goods was Fisher’s 5 NBA rings he won during his run with the Lakers. They’re each worth a ton of cash.

Our sources say other jewelry was taken as well.

The LAPD is currently investigating. So far, no arrests have been made.

2016 was a bad headline year for Fisher after being fired from the New York Knicks, 2015 was not that great either after Matt Barnes put the hands to him…2017 is off to an equally rocky start.

However, opposition has already been set in place against Donald Trump. Two Iraqi refugees have obtained lawyers in a case that may need the ruling of the United States Supreme Court to overrule. The country of Iran has come out saying there will be actions on their part in retaliation to the ban.

Past terrorist attacks committed on American soil actually involved citizens of the United States. The Orlando Massacre, The San Bernadino, Boston Bombings, Charleston Church Massacre are just a few that involved American citizens.

On August 28th, 1955, black teenager Emmett Till was lynched at the age of 14. A white woman named Carolyn Bryant Donham, had accused Till of flirting with her by whistling. This led to her husband and his half-brother, Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam snatching Till from a relative’s home he was residing at during his summer vacation in a small Mississippi town.

Three days later, Till’s mutilated body was found in the Tallahatchie River. The two men would be acquitted in just under an hour by an all white male jury of the murder, only to later confess.

This moment would spark the Civil Rights movement, especially when Emmett Till’s mother decided to have an open casket so the world could see what was done to her son. Vanity Fair reports in the new book The Blood of Emmett Till by Timothy Tyson, Donham revealed in 2007 that she lied about the incident.

At age 82, Donham whereabouts remain a mystery as since the Till murder she has been reclusive. A crucial part of her testimony was a lie, as she states Till never, ” grabbed her around the waist and uttered obscenities…You tell these stories for so long that they seem true.”

It is a shame that all these years later that truth is now finally revealed. This is a lie that will have to stay with Carolyn Bryant Donham for the rest of life. Her fear of any retaliation is only justice that was served for Emmett Till. His story is one that no one should ever forget. The problematic issues of race and justice equality still are echoed out to this very day, every time a black child loses their life over nothing at all only for the same tired result of a non conviction.

How many times do you have to tell someone no before it finally sets in? President Pena Nieto, has on numerous occasions, denied that his country will pay for the wall on the border of the United States and Mexico. The wall which Donald Trump has referred to as “The Great Wall”, original right? The two presidents were scheduled to meet at the White House until President Nieto publicly cancelled on Thursday.

Trump responded to this by suggesting that a 20% tax would be imposed on imports to the United States. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said this is a plan that Trump and Republicans in congress are in together on.

By doing it that we can do $10 billion a year and easily pay for the wall just through that mechanism alone. That’s really going to provide the funding

In what is becoming a staggering trend within the Trump administration, is how no details are laid out as to how any of these proposed plans would work. Spicer did not answer of give any indication about the impact this tax could have on the American consumer but rather noted the tax ”benefits’ for American workers.

This is move that many Republicans are not comfortable as by the social media response. Senator John Coryn and Senator Lindsey Graham of Texas and South Carolina respectively are concerned about. Coryn said on Twitter, “Many unanswered questions about proposed ‘border adjustment’ tax” and Graham tweeting, “Border security yes, tariffs no. Mexico is 3rd largest trading partner. Any tariff we can levy they can levy. Huge barrier to econ growth. Simply put, any policy proposal which drives up costs of Corona, tequila, or margaritas is a big-time bad idea. Mucho Sad.”

The United States is in for a a very interesting first 100 days, it has not even been a full week yet!

Freedom of speech is a fundamental American right. It explicitly forbids the censorship of media and individuals to speak freely.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

That passage comes directly from the first amendment in the United States Constitution. However, if you ask Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon he believes otherwise about this constitutional right. Bannon in an interview with the New York Times, went off on the media. He did not hold back his feelings about the coverage the Trump administration has received.

The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while…The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.

This statement comes less than a week after Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer was caught being dishonest “using alternative facts” about the crowd size at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Bannon ,former Executive chairman for Breitbart News as well, is also upset that media members have not lost their jobs that he claims were associates of Hillary Clinton.

The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign… Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: they were outright activists of the Clinton campaign…That’s why you have no power…You were humiliated.

While Steve Bannon named absolutely no one he is accusing, he may be referring to the six journalist that were charged with felony rioting. The journalist were covering the protests just a few blocks away from the inauguration of Donald Trump last Friday. These charges were very alarming because they were simply reporting the entire story from inauguration day, simply put they were doing their jobs

This new administration is clearly very thin-skinned. There is a high level of scrutiny that comes with working within the White House , but you withstand it as a leader. The part of the story to fear is that Bannon is one of Trump’s right hand men and has his ear at just about any moment. If they are willing to suppress the media’s voice and violate constitutional law, one cannot predict where the line is drawn.

Donald Trump threatened to bring in federal enforcement into Chicago if the city would not address their violent crime, according to a Tuesday night tweet.

If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible “carnage” going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!

While this is not the first time Trump has mentioned his “concern” for the city of Chicago and the crime rate, it may be the most eye raising comment since he actually has some power to do such an act. In a subsequent tweet, Donald Trump called the violent crimes, “Carnage” and his tweets seemed to be inspired after a segment on Bill O’ Reily’s “The O’Reilly Factor”. On the show O’Reily dabbled with the idea of the federal government intervening to combat Chicago crime.

Since the tweet, some leaders and politicians have spoken out against what Trump is calling for. Chicago Congressman, Mike Quigley, responded with this tweet:

If @POTUS is concerned about gun violence in Chicago, maybe he should talk to @VP about all of the illegal guns coming across Indiana border

Reverend Jesse Jackson chimed in saying, “We need a plan, not a threat. We need jobs, not jails.”
It is undeniable that there is a gun violence issue in Chicago, but it should be obviously and reasonably visible that the solution to guns is not more guns.

Her decision to perform caused a firestorm on social media that could not be contained. Everyone made their jokes about leaving her and her music in 2016 but her relatives seem to not be kidding.

In a recent interview with Billboard , Michele revealed that her extended family stopped supporting her. She states:

I’ll say that the backlash, I did personally feel, came from members of my extended family who decided that they didn’t want to speak to me anymore or support my family in supporting me. As far as social media goes, I didn’t really look at it much. The two biggest things that I did experience internally was two celebrities who I had much respect for: Questlove and Spike Lee. Those were kind of the two things that I took a look at.

Chrisette Michele also mentions that when she was asked to perform, that she did not hesitate to accept. Michele also never got to me the president and her performance was not free neither did it earn her $750,000 dollars. She states, “No, I didn’t perform for free. One, it wasn’t $750,000, but my manager did negotiate my contract.”

Not quite selling your soul to the devil, but maybe adjacent.

The founder of the WorldStarHipHop, Lee O’ Denat but famously known as “Q” has died today, January 24th, 2017. reported the death today as he passed in his sleep on Monday night. WorldStarHipHop became a staple of many hip hop enthusiasts once it was founded in 2005.

The site would grow to become apart of popular culture, as the phrase “WorldStar!” became synonymous with anything that was worth being filmed. This ranged from fight videos to up and coming artists breaking their music videos on the famed website. Q was ahead of his time in terms of the vision that he had for digital media consumption. While the some of the content on WorldStarHipHop would cause controversy, it cannot be stated enough that he truly a pioneer of the viral video.

The site brings in millions of viewers a day, Q said in Vibe magazine back in 2011,” roughly 2 million unique visitors” is what the site would see daily.

The hip hop and media community has lost a larger than life man in Lee O’ Denat aka “Q”. His contributions can never be understated, Rest in Power Q.

Dale ‘Rage’ Resteghini is one of the best video directors that is available today. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, he is responsible for some of your favorite hip hop music videos. While also making a significant name in the world of rock music as well. This has helped his career as he has become infamous for his versatility and relentless work ethic. Resteghini has directed over 100 hip hop videos, as well as, over 100 rock videos and figures to just over 700 music videos in total. Dale Resteghini started as a model, an actor and a dancer in Boston and as young man had been arrested for various infractions with the law. Reflecting on these experiences Resteghini once stated, “Even though I may have tripped myself up some 50 or 60 times in my younger years, I managed to never blame anyone but myself and I finally defeated the demons that were in me to become the man I was raised to be by my mother and father.”

Dale Resteghini has also dabbled in the world of film. He directed his first movie Colorz of Rage which featured Redman and R & B singer Cheryl Riley. Showing his comedic side he directed Da Hip Hop Witch in 2000, a spoof of The Blair Witch Project starring Eminem, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep, Pras, Rah Digga and Vanilla Ice.

Resteghini has several filmmaker influences which include Robert Aldrich, Tony Scott, Orson Welles Spielberg, Mann, Ridley Scott, Michael Mann, John Huston and others. He often known to quote ‘Rocky Balboa’, as he truly believes the essence of the character represents most of the known world to some degree. It is that blue collar, working class attitude and approach he brings to any set he works on in order to complete the task at hand and make a masterpiece.

As he had to work hard to get to the point he is now and make the impact in music videos that he has. Not satisfied with simply being a regional success, but Stacks looks to branch out and become a bigger name and be the next success story in hip hop. His 13 track mixtape is a nice effort to improve on his current status. What is to be admired on this tape is that Stacks used producers that are under the radar than opposed to chase a producer and their sound that is currently hot.

This allows for B Stacks to be the focal point of the records, which comes out in all of his songs. The first song “Off Da Block” is a good opener which sets the stage for the entire project, but does not display his lyrical ability as strongly as it may have should. “FWM” is positioned perfectly as it continues the street-turn up vibe that has been established from B Stacks.

“Chances” is the lead single which has been previously featured on Hip Hop Enquirer. This is the record that B Stacks really finds his niche. It allows him to flex his pen game with a very strong hook that bridges his verses perfectly about the risks of moving contraband on the highway. “Chances” is the type of record that can break a career open and B Stacks has it. “South Side” is a record that falls section as “FWM” and “Off Da Block”. With it not being as strong as the previous two, its positioning on 3 Peat , thus makes it sound repetitive which is not a good thing, but probably the one knock on the project’s opener .

“Picture That” does a better job of steering the mixtape back on course but it also falls somewhat short, as it sounds formulaic. Since the record is only two minutes long, it serves more of a buffer to what is the next standout record on the project “Deep End”. “Deep End” is a hustling anthem that sounds like it belongs in any club during peak hours. While it is not overly complicated in how it is put together, it does not need to be. “I’ll Never” is the song for ‘ ride of die’ girls out there. If you could put a song as a backdrop to those relationship goals memes that have taken over the internet this would be the record.

“No Favors’” is underwhelming because there sounds like there could have been something special here. The last verse is really provoking and you are gonna wish was longer. If the song was to have an extra verse to it, this could have been another featured track . There was more that could have been done here on “No Favors” if time had been permitted.

“Respect” is another anthem that B Stacks has a knack for creating. Stacks speeds up the flow on the record and the beat is just ridiculous with a very nice “Make Em Say Uhh” sample mixed into the record. If you are just looking for one new song for the car when you are cruising the highway, “Respect” would be it.

“Hard” falls into the filler category, but “Hold of Me” is a straight raw cut that is real hip hop. Reflecting on his hardships and friends lost due to a variety of circumstances, this is one record that displays the range of B Stacks. The bonus tracks “Dirty” and “Round My Way” are good songs as some inner Future is channeled in “Dirty” except Stacks is not referring to codeine and “Round My Way” is probably the best exit to the mixtape as this is the record that if you had to play for someone to get general idea of his sound, this would be it.

3 Peat is a solid effort from B Stacks and the first half of the mixtape is somewhat generic in sound it is still good music, but the second half is where you really get a good indication of his growth as an artist and makes you excited for new music to come out. It is a cohesive project which is one of the most important and yet underrated aspects in putting music together. Stacks already knows how to navigate that lane and with more records on the side of “Respect”, “Chances’’ and “Deep End” you see a real potential for this young guy from Durham, North Carolina to be on the map. The project was executive produced by music veteran Maurio Mitchell and Sandy Ledbetter under the Faculty Entertainment and YF brands.

Meek Mill and Wale have an interesting relationship. Wale is never afraid to speak his mind and how he truly feels about a situation. Meek Mill tends to want a certain loyalty or expect his label mates to not speak his name in a negative light, which is commendable.

Wale’s appearance on The Breakfast Club really set Meek off. Wale said that Meek, ‘brought a pencil to a gun fight’ referring to the Drake feud. Well Meek must have taken that as the last straw and went on a Instagram rant, saying Wale is no MMG and that he should commit suicide.

The ‘Big Pimpin’ copyright infringement case involving Jay-Z and Timberland looks to be over. Christina Snyder ruled that nephew of Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi, Osama Fahmy, did not have the standing to continue to pursue the claim that his uncle’s record ‘Khosara Khosara’ was illicitly sampled, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Fahmy filed the lawsuit in 2007, and it became very complicated after that. Jay Z and Timbaland were saying Fahmy could hold moral rights in Egypt, while the 2001 license they received for the record from EMI for $100,000 was specifically excluded usage in Egypt. Snyder had the job to determine if Egyptian law could apply, in which she ruled it did not.

Fahmy’s attorney Keith Wesley said , “We disagree strongly with the ruling, and we fully intend to appeal. We haven’t fully formulated our appeal strategy, but certainly we believe the court committed legal error in failing to restrict the license under Egyptian law.”

Yo Gotti is proud to introduce South Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta as the latest addition to his label, CMG, joining Snootie Wild. An artist whose life story mirrors the King of Memphis’ own quite closely, Blac Youngsta has already made quite a name for himself on the mixtape circuit.

Growing up in Memphis in the 90s, Blac Youngsta, like many of his peers fell prey to the allure of the street life and gang culture but he always carried an interest in music and shifted to that after coming face to face with the consequences of his lifestyle.

The video is straight to the point, and features a flashback to his youth of him still on the same porch and house of his past.

The Brooklyn based web series is set to return for Season 2 and it will be even grander now that they have announced their partnership with Tidal. Last night at Tidal X:1020, a charity concert, T.I. brought the cast out after his set to help make the announcement.

Season 2 is being to be crowd funded, as the entire first season was paid for by the cast members. The first season of Money & Violence spread through word of mouth about how good the show was and has gained many comparisons to The Wire, which is never a bad thing.

Tidal is owned by artists and primarily serves as a music streaming site, but clearly the promise of exclusive content is allowing the site to branch out even more. There has been scripted content on the site before, so this would not be unprecedented territory.
