The former Black Hollywood sex symbol turned Fox News political commentator, Stacey Dash has felt the cultural cold shoulder from the African-American community for a few years. Now apparently her family members have had enough of her Anti-African American antics and no longer speak to her at all.

damon-dash1In a recent interview with Edit Magazine, the actress shared her families reaction to her political stance. “My family and I have not spoken. My cousin Damon and my brother Darien (CEO of DME) were role models to me because they were great capitalists. Now we’re not really talking because they were the ones who told me to keep my mouth shut.” Stacey Dash has been making one outrageous remark after another during her rise to GOP political analyst. The Mitt Romney presidential endorsement, defense of Paula Deen’s “N” word usage and description of African-Americans as “uneducated and feeling worthless” under Obama’s administration have many people questioning not only her motives but her sanity as well. However, Dash feels she is adding a polarity to the discussion on race relations and discriminatory policies.

Unfortunately, her commentary on the crisis of Black life in America has little merit within the Black community. Her last point on the current state of racial tension across the country was truly a “Clueless” moment;

“I thought it was time to have a black president and that it would unite us in such a profound way. But as a country, I don’t think we’ve been so divided since the Civil Rights Movement. I mean, isn’t it extraordinary that we are even discussing race in 2014?”
