Breaking: Gucci Mane Indicted for Aggravated Assault; Prosecutors Want to Put Him in Prison for A Long Time
Gucci Mane Indicted for Aggravated Assault
Today, a Fulton Grand jury returned a criminal indictment against rapper Gucci Mane for allegedly assaulting Napier Vateri, a military soldier and he is facing some serious jail time if convicted.
Sources in the Fulton County prosecutors office are stating that they intend on seeking the most time allowed if rapper Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, 33, is found guilty of Aggravated Assault, the charge that resulted in a military soldier being injured in an Atlanta nightclub.
A member of District Attorney Paul Howard’s office has told HHE exclusively that because of the rappers recent brushes with the law and his propensity to violence that they feel the rapper is a threat to public safety and that he has demonstrated a serious disregard for the law and for that reason they will likely not make any plea deals unless it involves substantial prison time.
Another alleged assault victim has also come forward to say that the rapper assaulted him in a Philadelphia strip club when he attempted to shake his hand:
“I haven’t ever been so humiliated in my life and disrespected,” the victim, who asked only to be called TJ, told Viteri Monday night.
TJ said Davis punched him in the jaw in the early hours of March 18 in Philadelphia two days after Atlanta police said Davis hit a soldier over the head with a champagne bottle at Harlem Nights club on Courtland Street in Atlanta.
“He punched me on the left side of my face, right here in the jaw, knocking off my glasses,” TJ told Viteri.
TJ said he was at Club Onyx in Philadelphia to see Gucci Mane perform. Afterward, he said he tried to shake hands and say hello and the rapper responded with a punch to the face.
TJ showed Viteri tweets from witnesses. One person wrote “Why did Gucci Mane punch the dude in the face?”
The rapper was on probation at the time of the assault however the superior court judge granted him a $75,000.00 bond with the following conditions; he must surrender his passport, be on 24 house arrest, no contact with alleged assault victim, and get permission from the court if he has to travel out of the state. Even with the granted bond, the rapper will still have to wait to be released because of his earlier probation violation on the assault charge stemming from his 2011 arrest for assault on a young woman in Dekalb county Georgia.
