The release of B.A.R.S in 2007 was the last album released by Lyrical emcee Cassidy. With all “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed, Cassidy sealed a deal with Carmelo Anthony’s Label Krossover Entertainment which is where this lyricist has called home since 2009.
After a few years of being off the scene, Philadelphia lyricist Cassidy has decided to release his fourth album entitled “C.A.S.H” (Cass Always stays Hard or Cass Always a Straight Hustler). Known as a lyrically gifted rapper, Cassidy contributed to about 99% of the verses on the new album which is phenomenal being that today rappers tend to use ghost writers for majority of their material.
After speaking with MTVs Mix tape Daily, Cassidy revealed his inspiration behind his project and album title:
“They say it’s a recession, I call my album C.A.SH because everybody needs money,” explained Cassidy, “I feel as though everybody that’s a fan of hip hop or fan of music period, they need to come and support artists like me because you gonna see hip hop fall off the map, like other forms of music if you don’t.”
It has been a long time coming but the wait is over! Cassidy is set to release his album November 2nd, 2010.
