Caught on Video!! Robbers Use Craiglist to Steal Couple New IPad in Atlanta (Exclusive Footage)

| April 24, 2012 | 0 Comments

Last Thursday a couple decided that they wanted to sell their brand new Ipad 3 because the wife was very sick and needed money for the hospital so they posted an ad on the popular site Craigslist in hopes of finding a buyer.

Unfortunately for the sellers, their prospective “buyers” turned out to be thieves and their sole purpose for responding to their Craiglist post was to run off with their property..literally.

HHE recently spoke with Mr. Santiago who stated that immediately after he posted the ad on Craigslist, he received a text message from a “potential buyer” who stated that they were interested in their $600 Apple Ipad 3 unit and wanted to meet at an apartment complex to complete the transaction. Upon the couple arriving at 2788 Defoors Road in Atlanta, they were met by two men in their late teens or early twenties. One of men asked Mr. Santiago if he could take a look at the boxed Ipad but neither man realized that the entire transaction was being recorded by Mr. Santiago’s wife on her Iphone. Check out what happens next:

Obviously Ipads, Iphones and other Apple products are a hot commodity and there are people who feel it is easier taking from someone else then working to get their own so it is important how you use the internet when selling your merchandise. As a rule, always meet people in a public place when doing internet transactions or just place your item up for sale on sites like Ebay.

Please contact Crime Stoppers if you have any information at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
