Tragedy Stricken Japan faces 10,000 deaths

Mother-Nature has vicariously taken the lives of, the most current number, about 10,000 citizens in Japan. On Friday (March 11th), Japan was hit with a earthquake which measured at 8.9 magnitude. Already reaching their breaking point, Mother-nature did nothing but worsen matters serving Japan with a string line of aftershocks which submerged into a self-destructive Tsunami.

Combining forces caused an explosion of the main cooling systems and backup generators, releasing radiation. This natural disaster is said to be among the worst since War War II, leaving the community with little food, water and electricity.

“First I was worried about the quake,” said Kenji Koshiba, a construction worker who lives near the plant. “Now I’m worried about radiation.” He spoke at an emergency center in Koriyama, about 40 miles (60 kilometers) from the most troubled reactors and 125 miles (190 kilometers) north of Tokyo.

President Barack Obama has pledged aid to support the disaster, along with the hip hop community. The Hip Hop community has also devoted their attentions toward helping those in need i.e., Hurricane Katrina and earthquake disaster in Haiti by showing their support.
