Last week, we broke the exclusive story of former NBA player Javaris Crittenton’s involvement in a drug trafficking sting, (Click here if you somehow missed out). According to police sources, the drug trafficking case can be traced back to 2012 and it involves a long list of suspects. Crittenton was hoping to move 400 kilos of cocaine (about 881 pounds) in addition to pounds of marijuana before his arrest on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.

“Crittenton and the other suspects are accused of selling multi-kilo quantities of cocaine and several hundred pounds of marijuana during the seven month investigation dating back to June 2012,” said Yvette Jones, spokeswoman for Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard Jr.

According to Narcotic News, in the state of Georgia a kilo of cocaine can range from $19,000-$26,500. To say the least, that’s a whole lot of money!

The former Los Angeles Laker was accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Atlanta mother of four Julian Jones on the night of Aug. 19, 2011.

We will continue to follow this developing story.
