Family Files Million Dollar Lawsuit of Man Who Died in Jail That Owed Child Support

This morning the family of Douglass Brown, an army veteran and father  held a press conference at 10:00am at the Davis Bozeman law firm located in Decatur, GA. You may remember Brown who entered the Fulton County Jail October 9, 2013 because he was behind on his child support payments. Shortly after, on October 19, 2013 Brown was sadly found deceased on his cell floor in the Fulton County Jail.

Brown suffered from diabetes and his family believes that proper treatment of his condition was not administered. The family attorney will be discussing what they’ve discovered during their investigation thus far this morning.

A candle light vigil and rally will be held tomorrow Thursday, December 19th, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Fulton County jail located at 901 Rice Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30318. The family and supporters of Brown are asking for the presence and support of the community. We will continue following this tragic story as more information is released.
