Hailing from Chicago, IL, rising rapper, Yung Gwapa prepares to release his new single “Hustle n Flow” soon.  Yung Gwapa has collaborated with various artist such as Waka Flocka  and Frenchie from 1017 Brick Squad, Lil Scrappy and Producers, David Blaine, Lex Luger, Mike Da Rockman and GwapHouse M.G.`s own in house producer Kam Killa. Donna Summer

Donna Summer, aka The Queen of Disco, is dead at 63 from lung cancer.

Summer, a five-time Grammy Award winner, became an enduring icon of the Disco era with hits like “Bad Girls”, “Love To Love You Baby” and “Last Dance”.  She was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Chart.

Born outside of Boston, Summer left home at age 18 to audition for the Broadway production of  “Hair”, receiving a role when it moved to Germany.  There, she met producer Giorgio Moroder, who would launch her solo career.

Summer’s last album, “Crayons”, was released in 2008 and she was reportedly working on another disco album.

She is survived by her husband Bruce Sudano, three children and four grandchildren.

Thank you Ms. Summer for your musical legacy and all of the great memories.  There is not a 70′s or 80′s roller skater or club dancer who will ever forget you.

The Queens rapper is currently under close hospital watch after suffering from a virus yesterday. While the extent of his illness has not yet been determimed conclusively, 50 Cent did find time to promote his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, titled “The Lost Tape,” next Tuesday. He did find time to tweet a few photos to his twitter followers.

Did you really think those sneakers you paid hundreds of dollars for would help you cheat on your workout? Well it looks like Kim K just got herself into some hot water for endorsing a product that obviously doesn’t do what it claims.

The Federal Trade Commission has determined Skechers made unfounded claims about its Shape-Ups shoes … pushed by hot-bodied spokespeople like Kim K and Brooke Burke.

In fact, Skechers has agreed to pay $45 million in settlement costs … and anyone who bought the shoes will be eligible for a refund.

Still, Skechers is reportedly disputing the FTC decision — and plans to conduct more research on the effects of the shoe

We can understand now why Tameka Raymond wanted to “f*ck  up” Usher Raymond as she testified in a recent court custody battle in Atlanta, Georgia.

A marriage therapist testified that some of Tameka’s stress in the marriage was brought on by her discovering that the woman she trusted to participate in her wedding as a bride’s maid was in fact sleeping around with the R n B superstar. A close source revealed that during their marriage Tameka placed a call to Usher’s hotel room and the woman known as Maya Fox Davis answered the phone and “all hell broke loose” according to our source. Our source stated that when Tameka demanded to know why she was in her husband’s hotel room, the woman claimed that she accidentally fell asleep but was very apologetic afterwards, according to our source. We are also told that this woman is also a fashion stylist for pop teen superstar Justin Bieber. Maybe she was up late doing a fitting for Usher? Next week the custody battle continues and Usher Raymond will have to take the stand to be cross-examined by Tameka’s attorney Lisa West.

The million dollar question is will Usher and his attorney fight to keep the media from the courtroom in fear of some damaging testimony to be revealed or will he take it on the chin like his former wife had to do during direct examination by high profile attorney John Mayoue?

President Obama’s recent decision to openly take a stand on the same sex marriage issue has created a backlash in the black community where many are saying that they can no longer support the first black president of the United States for re-election. While Vice President Joe Biden had already spoken out in support of the issue, some believe that Obama was compelled to speak on the issue after his 2nd in command spoke in advance of the President.

Most notably outraged was Maryland State Del. Emmett C. Burns Jr., a Baptist minister who represents the state’s 10th District in the House of Delegates, who accused the President of saying to his black constituency: “I am going against your beliefs and your thoughts.”

Maryland Delegate, Pastor Emmett C. Burns is a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage.

Burns is pastor of the Rising Sun First Baptist Church in Baltimore County, on St. Luke’s Lane in the Gwynn Oak area of Woodlawn. His legislative district, which he has represented since 1995, is home to one of the highest percentages of African-American residents in the state.

In fact, Burns told his church members Sunday, he is so heavily opposed to same-sex marriage he will no longer support the President for reelection and predicted that Obama will lose in November because of his position.

While I don’t support many views of the republicans, Mit Romney might be the only choice we have to keep the sanctity of marriage alive stated accountant George Williams of New York City.

Here is what President Obama had to say:

“…For me personally it is important for me to affirm that same sex couples should be able to get married.” This is the statement President Obama made to ABC’s Robin Roberts on Wednesday. During his campaigns and stint as President, Obama has said his views on same sex marriage is “evolving.” Obama claims his change of heart on the issue has come from various conversations with people including his staff members, gay and lesbian service members, his wife, and even his daughters.

 Although Obama has stated he agrees with same sex marriage, he still supports letting states decide on the issue individually. Again, he brings up his daughters when talking about how he got to this point.

“You know Malia and Sasha, they have friends whose parents are same-sex couples. There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we’re talking about their friends and their parents and Malia and Sash, it wouldn’t dawn on them that somehow their friends’ parents would be treated differently. It doesn’t make sense to them and frankly, that’s the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective.”

He also cites talks with his wife, Michelle and their own faith as a contributing factor to his decision.

“This is something that, you know, we’ve talked about over the years and she, you know, she feels the same way, she feels the same way that I do. And that is that, in the end the values that I care most deeply about and she cares most deeply about is how we treat other people and, you know, I, you know, we are both practicing Christians and obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others but, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it’s also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated. And I think that’s what we try to impart to our kids and that’s what motivates me as president and I figure the most consistent I can be in being true to those precepts, the better I’ll be as a as a dad and a husband and hopefully the better I’ll be as president.”

This is a giant leap for Obama as it is unknown if his proclamation will help or hurt him in the polls. Over the years in his politics, Obama has been opposed to gay marriage. In 1996, 2004, 2008, and even 2010 he “struggled” with the decision. He eventually got to a point to support civil unions between same-sex couples so that they would have some of the rights as married couples. He told ABC News,

“I had hesitated on gay marriage in part because I thought civil unions would be sufficient, that that was something that would give people hospital visitation rights and other elements that we take for granted, and I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people, you know, the word ‘marriage’ was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs, and so forth.”

His decision to now support same-sex marriage will divide the polls with Democrats. Mitt Romney, the possible the Republican candidate opposes gay marriage and fought to the Massachusetts Supreme Court when the state was the first to legalize same-sex marriage in 2004. Romney has also stated, “My view is that marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman. That’s the position I’ve had for some times, and I don’t intend to make any adjustments at this point… Or ever, by the way.”

A week ago MMG’s Meek Mill dropped his long anticipated mixtape Dreamchasers 2. The mixtape is easily played from beginning to end due to Meek’s hard hitting flow and the appearance of big name rappers on some of the tracks. The 20 track mixtape features artists including Drake, Wale, Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Fabolous, and many others. Although there are a lot of features, that doesn’t mean that Meek can’t hold his own, just listen to “Flexing” if you need reassurance. The mixtape has a gritty edge but is not all street. Tracks like “Ready or Not,” “Big Dreams,” and “Use to Be” slow it down and allow Meek to get a little more personal. A few of the best songs on the tape would be “Amen (ft. Drake and Jeremih),” A1 Everything (ft. Kendrick Lamar)”Lean Wit It” and “Burn (ft. Big Sean).”

The Philly based rapper has been breaking out the past two years since he dropped the original Dreamchasers, signed with MMG, and was apart of XXL’s 2011 Freshman Class. When asked about the mixtape Meek said, “I’m just giving everybody my view of how I’m living and relating to other people’s stories and bring the part of the that I need to bring to the game.” Dreamchasers 2 has enough heart to serve his existing fans and enough “mainstream” to get Meek even more fans. Dreamchasers 2 has given fans a little taste of what to expect from Meek’s debut album, Dreams and Nightmares which drops in late August. But until then, enjoy Dreamchasers 2 and catch Meek Mill on tour with Drake, J. Cole, Waka Flocka, 2 Chainz, and French Montana this summer in a city near you.

On Wednesday, Chris Brown posted a freestyle rap that he did over Kanye West’s song “Theraflu” that seems to be taking shots at ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. In the song, Brown raps “Don’t f**k with my old b*****s like a bad fur, every industry n***A done had her.” He also adds “Treat it like a pumpkin just to smash her. B*****s breaking codes but I’m the password.”

The apparent “diss” has come as a surprise to many since just two months ago the two stars were defending their decision to make the songs “Turn Up the Music” and “Birthday Cake” together. Since Brown has posted the song, Rihanna has unfollowed him on Twitter. When many speculated that Brown was targeting his lyrics towards his former girlfriend, Brown denied that the song is about Rihanna tweeting “Assumptions! I didn’t say any names so if u took offense to it then its something you feel guilty about.” In a possible response to Brown’s tweet, Rihanna tweeted “Aw, poor dat #neaux1currrrr.”

After that dreadful night in Los Angele’s when Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna just before the Grammy Awards, their every movement has been under a microscope, which prompted critics from both sides to share their opinions on how the two should conduct themselves in public.

One very good thing has come out of this for both parties and that is that they have been able to successfully continue with their singing and acting careers which for at least Chris Brown as proven to be a success at the box offices.

Rapper Lil Boosie has been found not guilty of first degree murder … stemming from the shooting death of a 35-year-old man back in 2009.

Boosie was accused of ordering a hit on the victim … but after the jury deliberated for roughly 90 minutes, they decided Boosie was not guilty.

Boosie — who was tried in Baton Rouge, LA — could have faced life in prison if convicted.

During the case, prosecutors tried to argue that lyrics in one of Boosie’s raps proved his role in the murder …. but clearly, the jury didn’t buy the argument.

Still, Boosie will not be a free man anytime soon — he’s currently serving an 8-year prison sentence stemming from drug charges.
