Olivia gears up for premiere of her VH1 reality show “Love & Hip Hop” airs on March 14th
Remember Olivia? Most might remember Hip Hop songstress Olivia as the first-lady of G-Unit—50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Olivia and Yung Buck —contributing her vocals for “Beg for Mercy” and 50 Cent’s “The Massacre.” Olivia was at the peak of her career rolling with G-Unit then everything went downhill; she was released from the G-Unit camp in 2007.
In a recent interview with Olivia she talks about her past with G-Unit stating, “When I was on· G-Unit, I had to conform to what was on G-Unit, so I couldn’t come out with R&B records because I was with a bunch of rappers so now I get to do exactly what I want to do and you get to hear me really sing, but again, for the people that come to my live shows, they see what I do…I’m no longer with G-Unit, I’m back solo.”
Singer/Songwriter Olivia is now back and more confident than ever, she has released mixtape “Love & Hip Hop” EP and is working on her sophomore album. This time around, she has teamed up with VH1 in her own reality show “Love & Hip Hop” where her fans can take this journey with her in reaching the top.
VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” follows four women who share a common bond which is their connection to the Hip Hop world. The series will capture the struggles of Chrissy and Emily, who both date rappers, and Somaya and Olivia, who are both recording artist trying to break into the music industry.
Be sure to tune into VH1’s new series “Love & Hip Hop” on March 14th at 10:30 PM EST to embark on this journey with former first lady of G-Unit Olivia.
Personally, I liked her even more when she was a solo R & B artist signed with J Records but then that’s just my opinion.
