The Benefits of Coconut Water

Coconut water has become increasingly popular throughout this past year. Celebrities like Kristin Cavallari, Annalynne McCord, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Gisele Bundchen have been spotted drinking this tropical drink. So why has everyone become so obsessed with this new fad?

Coconut water is packed with a ton of nutrients. It also has a sweet and refreshing taste without including artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Packed with electrolytes, it is the perfect hydrating tool. It also is packed with more potassium then a banana, which also would help alleviate the pain from dehydration or even dreaded hangovers.

Coconut water is unfortunately not calorie free, but it could be used as the perfect drink to enjoy after a workout instead of Gatorade, or Vitamin Water. It’s also a healthy energizer that will help you get through cardio workouts with ease. Coconut water can be found at your local grocery store. One of the most popular brands is called “Vita COCO,” and it is available in a variety of delicious flavors.
