Parents Of Trayvon Martin Hold Press Conf. On Inequality Of US Justice System

Justice for both Trayvon Martin and Kendrick Johnson coats our society as we continue to see the lives of our youth being taken each and every day.

On September 30th, Benjamin Crump, a Tallahassee, Florida based attorney – most known for his association with the Trayvon Martin case – joined the legal team with South Georgia’s C.B. King on behalf of the Kendrick Johnson family.

On January 11th, 17-year-old Georgia teen, Kendrick Johnson was found dead rolled-up in a gym mat at Lowndes County High School. Johnson’s initial autopsy on May 4th claimed his death was accidental with no bruises apparent on the body and due to positional asphyxia, which however sparked great suspicion and further scrutiny. Thus, a second independent autopsy was performed and utterly contradicted the GBI report, revealing that Johnson died as a result of “unexplained, apparent non-accidental, blunt force trauma.”

Kenneth Johnson, Kendrick’s father stated: “I was very happy with the results, the results we received, — I was very happy with them because it contradicts everything the first autopsy said.”

The Kendrick Johnson case is still in continuation, as we await the results of Michael Moore’s federal review to determine if the Department of Justice will launch a full federal investigation for the mysterious death of Kendrick Johnson.

We hope and pray that justice is served.
