Katt Williams now makes claims that the reason he had to open-hand slap a Target employee in the face last month, is because the guy called him the n-word. TMZ has provided us with video of Mr. William’s explanation and the story.
Last night, Katt Williams was performing at the Comedy Store in Hollywood, and he described what went down right before the attacked the employee in Sacramento. He told the audience:
This is what the dude at Target said … ‘Your assistant is already suing you, you p**sy ass n***er.’
The situation the employee was referring to was a recent lawsuit, in which William’s former assistant is suing Katt Williams after claiming that the comedian punched her.
Williams stated that he flipped out when he heard the slur and then asked the employee, “Did you just say the n-word in front of Katt Williams?”. Supposedly the employee answered, “You say it all the time”.
This is when Katt Williams said he shot back, “Say it again and see what happens” – and that’s when he slapped the guy upside the head.
Williams then compared his issue with racism to Dave Chappelle’s saying:
That’s the same sh*t that drove [Chappelle] out of f***ing business.
As reported weeks ago by TMZ, the assaulted employee, Forrest Lienbenberg was fired from his position just days after the incident.
Target would never explain why they let the employee go, and multiple phone calls to Liebenberg weren’t returned.
