Funny man Kevin Hart rocked the stage as he hosted the 2011 BET Awards last night live at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. “Nobody is safe,” he stated as he began cracking playful jokes on everybody he laid his eyes on. It was a night of big laughs and great entertainment.

You could probably call them the Chris Brown awards because he won BIG last night. Taking home four trophies, the 22 year-old won in every single category in which he was nominated.

Breezy won the awards for Best Male R&B Artist, Best Collaboration for “Look at Me Now” with Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne and also took home the Fandemonium Award as well as the Viewers’ Choice Award.

Other winners for the night included Nicki Minaj for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Diddy Dirty Money for Best Group, Mary Mary for Best Gospel, Kanye West for Best Male Hip Hop; Wiz Khalifa took home the award for Best New Artist while Willow and Jayden Smith tied for the YoungStars Award.

Honorees were Steve Harvey who received the Humanitarian Award and Patti Labelle who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Some great moments of the night were the inserts of classic old school performances throughout the show. Appearances were made by Anita Baker who accompanied Mary J. Blige for the show’s opening performance, After 7, the Five Heartbeats and Cherrelle and Alexander O’Neal who performed their classic hit “Saturday Love”.

For another twist in the night Kevin Hart introduced the “Real Husbands of Hollywood” a hilarious parody on the reality shows, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Basketball Wives”. Alongside Bobby Brown, Nelly and Jermaine Dupri, Hart flipped the script and showed us what it’s like being a husband in Hollywood. There were also cameos from Nick Cannon and “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman.
