Kid Cudi

After recently being arrested for felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance, Grammy Nominated artist Kid Cudi has decided to share with the world his well-kept secrets about his recent mishaps.

An industry filled with the pressures of being perfect, or at least portraying perfection to the millions of fans, many artist fall into the likes of using illegal substances.

Kid Cudi has confessed to becoming addicted to drugs i.e., cocaine which helped him get through the life of being a famous rap star:

“I started doing cocaine to get through interviews, ’cause people wanted to know a lot about my personal life and I wasn’t prepared for a 60 Minutes interview every time. Doing bumps I was able to get through the day, but then I would smoke weed to calm me down–it was the only way I could get through the day without people noticing I was doing it… never thought it was a problem, but I was definitely high-fiving death a couple of times. It took a lot for me to talk about sh*t like this on the album. I don’t feel like I need to explain myself to anyone besides the fans. My fans don’t believe sh*t until they hear me say it. And those are true Kid Cudi fans. I want them to know the story.” (Complex)

According to Kid Cudi, his drug use stops right here, right now:

“No more blow. People do drugs to camouflage emotions and run away from their problems. Now I’m going to deal with certain things as they come, prioritize sh*t–man up, so to speak. Just for the record, it bugged me out that people said it was liquid cocaine [that I got arrested for over the summer]. No, I’m just f*cking rich, and my blow comes in a jar. There was no liquid in it–that sh*t makes no sense.” (Complex)

Kid Cudi has made it through the fire of being arrested back in NYC. Most importantly he has learned from his mistakes and is pushing forward for a better future, as he promises to stay drug-free, excluding marijuana, from here on out!
