Lupe Fiasco Sells Over 200K in Record Sales in First Week of “ Lasers”

Lupe Fiasco reaches new heights 

Late 2010, Lupe Fiasco was in the midst of an ongoing battle with label Atlantic Records. The record label did not want to issue out a release date of his latest album “Lasers”, a follow up to his sophomore album “The Cool.” With the help of his die hard fans, Lupe was granted a release date.

With the album came many setbacks including, the album leaking online a few days prior to his release. Lupe Fiasco was immersed into a situation full of discomfort and he even stated not being entirely satisfied with the album, but things are definitely looking up for this Chicago rapper.

Even with minor setbacks, Fiasco’s “Lasers” reaches no.1 on Billboard 200 also selling 204,000 records his first week. What a great way to make a combat Lupe Fiasco.
