Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Found In Indian Ocean [Video]

After two weeks of searching for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak held a press conference today announcing that the plane crashed into a remote corner of the Indian Ocean.  All 239 passengers and the crew are believed to be dead.

The plane disappeared on March 8 after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.  The plane still hasn’t been recovered but debris from the aircraft were believed to have been seen floating in the water. CBS reports,

Dressed in a black suit, Najib announced the news in a brief statement to reporters late Monday night, saying the information was based on an unprecedented analysis of satellite data from Inmarsat.

He said the data indicated the plane flew “to a remote location, far from any possible landing sites.”

“It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”

He said Malaysia Airlines has informed the families of passengers of the plane’s fate.

“For them the past few weeks have been heartbreaking,” Najib said. “I know this news must be harder still.”

Our condolences to the family of those lost.  Reports also say no confirmation is complete until the plane is found.  Reports also suggest that there could be a cover up somewhere  which makes you wonder if the plane really crashed into the ocean.
