Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex has been very vocal in this brewing beef between Meek Mill and Drake. Meek got really upset because Drake’s ‘R.I.C.O.’ verse was not his, he claims. Funkmaster Flex has been using this as the perfect opportunity to drop his famous bombs as he had the reference track for Drake’s ’10 Bands’ verse. He claims to have more reference tracks for songs such as the hit ‘Know Yourself’. This has lead to many debates about ghostwriting in Hip Hop.
With these two linking up together there is sure to be a lot of slander towards Drake’s way. While Quentin Miller has denied being Drake’s ghostwriter, the reference track has yet to be explained by him or the OVO camp. Meek Mill is legit upset with Drake, as he took it as a sign of disrespect since the verse allegedly was not his.
Meek Mill will most likely premiere a response record to Drizzy’s ‘Charged Up’ either as a freestyle or a recorded song. The interview is sure to be one you cannot miss and it will go down at 7 p.m. on Hot 97.
