Hip Hop veteren Method Man gears up for his next album “The Meth Lab” by releasing the first single ‘The Purple Tape” featuring Raekwon and Inspectah Deck. On the heavy throwback beat, Meth proves that his old school 90’s flow can still survive in the game. “The Purple Tape” pays tribute to fellow Wu-Tang member Raekwon’s classic album “Only Built 4 Cuban Kinx,” which just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

“Young buck, I’m just trying to toughen you up/Can’t let you hustle with us, you ain’t struggled enough/Y’all been cuddled too much, maybe mothered too much/So the burner giving out loans, here’s a couple of bucks.”

Method Man’s upcoming album “The Meth Lab” is available for pre-order now and will be released on August 21st.
