Stage Presence… What the Stars Wore on Stage at the VMAs.

Lets face it, when you’re watching an artist perform on stage, what they’re wearing is just as important (if not more) than the actual performance. The outfit can either maker or break the entire routine. If there’s a really good singer in a really bad ensemble, then the talent goes unoticed because the bad attire is too distracting.

At this year’s Video Music Awards, some celebs chose the razzle-dazzle while others kept it cool & comfortable. Take a look at what some of the performers, winners, and presenters wore to take center stage.

One of our favorite VMA moments was when the two kings of Hip Hop shared not only the ‘throne’ but also the VMA stage to perform their smash single Otis. While we’re usually impressed with what Kanye wears when he hits the stage, he let us down a bit when he came out wearing a simple all denim look. Maybe it was the amped up perfromance that may have over shadowed but we were a little let down.

Beyonce in Dolce & Gabbana sequined jacket

Just moments after she announced to the world of her pregnancy (stealing the show before it even started), Beyonce rocked the stage in a purple sequined jacket from Dolce & Gabbana fall 2011 collection. No surprise here. Beyonce rarely mises an opportunity to be over the top. There’s very few photos and/or videos we’ve seen of her NOT performing in something studded, sequined, glittery, or shiney. Thats just Bey.

Weezy is a showman

Hands down the highlight of the VMAs was when Weezy took the stage in this! Snow leopard skinny jeans with white Luis belt. The best rapper alive put forth the best show of the evening. His energy and confidence exudes even through photos.
