The Game has been making headlines all summer for everything from disses to pranks, which has everyone speculating if he was doing things to get publicity for his new album titled The R.E.D Album. Whatever the reason behind Game’s shenanigans, they obviously worked! The R.E.D Album has landed the #1 spot in the country. The album sold 97,528 copies since it’s August 23rd release, knocking Jay-z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne to #2.

This is Game’s third album to reach #1. “It feels amazing to be back on top, my fans are incredibly loyal. I was able to step away from music for some much needed personal time with my family, and now that i’ve returned with a new album, they’ve come out strong supporting me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my fans, Period.” The R.E.D Album features collaborations with Dr. Dre, D.J. Premier, Drake, Nelly Furtado, Young Jeezy, Big Boi and Rick Ross.
