Grammy Award winner Nate Walka has been busy of late, teaming up with UK pop star Alesha Dixon on her new album, due out this summer.

Check out her freestyle in the studio here and hit me back with your thoughts. We are curious to know what you think? Do you think she’s got what it takes to rival some of the rappers out here in the States? Let me know people!!!

For those of you who don’t know, Ms. Dixon was the sexy lead girl in N*E*R*D’s music video way back in ’04, She Wants To Move. Since then she’s gone on to star and win the UK version of Strictly Come Dancing, controversially became a judge on the second season of the show, married UK rapper MC Harvey who she later divorced after discovering his infidelity with fellow pop star and former friend Javine Hylton, to then work on her upcoming third album due out later this year. Phew! This girl has been busy. Nate penned six songs on her album and will be featuring on her second single. Looking forward to hear what magic they came up with in the studio.

Alesha Dixon – Breathe Slow

Like Matt Willis, Kenzie, and Kerry Katona before her, singer Alesha Dixon became a household name not through her dance-pop music, but thanks to an appearance on a reality show. One of seven children born to an English mother and Jamaican father, Dixon grew up in Welwyn Garden City and initially planned to become a P.E. teacher. After completing a diploma course, she was about to take a position at Loughborough University when she was approached on a train by a record producer, who asked if she could sing. Inspired, Dixon put her degree on hold and spent the next few years trying to set up various girl bands without much success. While working in a factory packing toothpaste to fund her musical ambitions, she eventually met Sabrina Washington at Dance Attic, a jazz/hip-hop dance academy in West London. The duo recorded a demo together, “Inspiration,” before meeting Su-Elise Nash, who joined with Dixon and Washington to form the Mis-Teeq trio. Mis-Teeq signed to Telstar Records and, after fourth member Zena McNally joined, the group released its debut single, “Why,” in 2001.

She was also briefly married to UK star MC Harvey but their relationship soon ended when she caught him cheating her. As she tells it “ It was me who broke off the relationship and not him.” She was also rumored to have had a brief affair with Neptunes Pharell.
