Well Damn!! Lil Wayne Cancels Nicki Minaj’s Performance At Hot 97’s Summer Jam After DJ Dissed Her Song!

Is it just us or has Lil Wayne been acting a little emotional lately? Nicki Minaj was in the building scheduled to perform with rumored special guest Foxy Brown when radio personality Peter Rosenberg, made some disparaging remarks about her hit song “Starships”. The Deejay reportedly said, “I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now, f-ck that bullsh-t.” Well apparently that didn’t sit too well with YMCMB CEO Lil Wayne and he made an executive decision to cancel her performance! Responding to Rosenberg’s comments he tweeted, “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.” Nicki sent a follow up tweet, “Wow. U ni—az just f-cked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB.” Referring to Hot 97 Program Director Ebro Darden she added, “Ebro call Wayne. Da kid gon b @ da telly…,”

Minaj’s last tweet about the incident was, “I’d like to thank the staff @philly & boston summer jams for treating their guests w/respect! Had a blast.”

It seems the rumors about Nicki’s surprise guest Foxy Brown were true as the two were spotted hanging with Cam’Ron later on that evening obviously not fazed by the drama:

Check out the video below to see exactly what Peter Rosenberg said:

As a performer, wouldn’t the correct response to Rosenberg’s comments have been to get on stage and prove you’re the greatest? Were Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj wrong for skipping out on Hot 97’s Summer Jam or were they justified?
