Is it just me or are “men of God” making news headlines a lot lately? And not for the right reasons either.  This time a 70-year-old deacon and prison chaplain was caught on his knees… and he wasn’t praying.

A guard at the Queensboro Correctional Facility in NY spotted Frank DeTucci kneeling in front of a prisoner on Sunday receiving oral sex. When searched, $200 in his shoe and another $153 in his wallet were found. He also admitted to previously paying $270 on two separate occasions to the same inmate for his services.

DeTucci is a deacon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Astoria and has been a chaplain for the correctional system for 27 years. Who’s to say how much cash he’s spent for the sexual favors alone? Or is this what Dr. Creflo Dollar would call a “wreck”? Whatever his reasoning may be, its just unacceptable.

A spokeswoman from the church said he would be placed on administrative leave (without pay) immediately.

DeTucci faces up to four years in prison on charges of official misconduct, engaging in a criminal sex act and sexual misconduct.
