Most people with 5th grade educations don’t sign $60 million deals with Pepsi. It’s been revealed that Beyonce has signed a $60 million contract to promote Pepsi in a multi-year project, but this won’t be your everyday, run-of-the-mill celeb endorsement. Beyonce and Pepsi are making Marketing/Advertising history with this collaboration. Instead of having King Bey simply appear in a couple of TV commercials, the soft drink company will basically be sponsoring many of Beyonce’s creative whims for the next couple of years including random photo shoots, videos, etc.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity” said Beyonce.
Beyonce is headlining the 2013 Super Bowl show and has announced that she’ll be dropping an album next year that has yet to be named or slated for a release date. In the meantime, you can expect to see a lot of Ms. Knowles-Carter repping Pepsi everywhere you look.
