Will Def Jam Let Terius Nash a.k.a. The Dream Drop New Album Tomorrow??

| August 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Everyone won’t be as excited as me, since I’m pretty much a certified Dream lover. Anything the man touches, I can’t wait to hear. In case you weren’t aware, The Dream‘s free album titled 1977 is set to drop tomorrow (13 hours, 47 minutes and 54 seconds to be exact) with appearances from Pharell and Big Sean. Unfortunately, even though it’s scheduled to drop tomorrow, The Dream recently tweeted about not being sure if Def Jam will let him release it. Read more for the full story and leaked track.

Today the producer leaked the track “Wake Me When It’s Over on his site, RadioKillaNation.com. The Dream is releasing this album under his real name: Terius Nash, but unfortunately just hours ago Dream tweeted: “Chances “DefJam” puts a Cease and Desist on 1977 unfortunately Very High. but i think yall will have it before lawyers make me take it down.”

1977 is supposed to be an appetizer to hold us over until The Dream’s next studio album, The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman. Allegedly, The Dream and Def Jam are having issues over the negotiations of The Love, IV and they aren’t too happy with him releasing a free album. Fight the power, Dream!
