According to producer La’Mar “Mars” Edwards, Will Smith is planning a rap comeback. He recently told XXL magazine, “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back.” Edwards worked with the Fresh Prince on his last solo album six years ago.

As we all know Will started out as a rapper, before his acting career shot him to super stardom. He had five albums with close friend, DJ Jazzy Jeff.  After the success of the sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel- Air, he released Big Willie Style which went double platinum in Britain and nine times platinum in the U.S. His most recent 2005 album, Lost and Found, didn’t do so well on the charts as it didn’t even reach gold status in the U.K.

It has been speculated that Will’s comeback may get a boost from the success of his daughter Willow, who blew everyone away with her single “Whip my Hair”. She is reportedly starring in a remake of Annie with music by Jay-z.
