On Wednesday April 21st, singer songwriter Nate Walka will be honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Producers at the 27th annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards. He is being recognized for his work as songwriter of the R&B smash hit single “Blame It.”

“Blame It,” performed by Jamie Foxx, was one of the most performed ASCAP pop songs of 2009. The single held on to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart for 14 consecutive weeks making it the second longest running #1 song ever in the chart’s history.
