It was no surprise that Young Money’s Nicki Minaj would walk away with the Best Female Rapper Award Sunday night but who she thanked in the end was a big surprise to many.
After paying homage to her label mates and CEO of Young Money Wayne Carter the Barbie rapper saved the best thanks for last when she said “Thank you Deb, I see you” which was a great gesture on her part in light of what was being said about the two on the blogs and in magazine about Nicki firing her manager without notice. Let’s just hope Lil Kim understood the subliminal message Nicki sent to her.
There is enough drama in hip hop and to have women beefing for silliness is a distraction to the music. Congratulations Nicki Minaj that was a good look…let’s go!
