Art Imitating Reality – Shannon & Monica on a recent video shoot
Looks like Monica has learned a lot from her BFF Keyshia Cole by giving up her rap boyfriend Rocka Da Don for NBA Lakers Star Shannon Brown.
Who knew these two R & B stars had so much in common. In 2008 Keyshia Cole broke off her relationship to rapper Young Jeezy supposedly because he didn’t want to make a commitment and she was looking for something more serious. Keyshia ended up landing herself NBA star of the Cleveland Cavaliers Daniel Gibson and ended up having a child with him at the beginning of the year.
It’s safe to say that Keyshia may have had a lot of influence in swaying Monica’s decision to date someone outside of the rap game. Monica’s past relationships have been with guys who were rapper and most have brought a great deal of drama to the relationship. Do you feel this is a come up for Monica or does dating a basketball player come with the same type of drama as in dating a rapper?
Hmm…maybe Rocko should has opted out of doing the reality show with Monica because it seems like reality shows puts a curse on relationships. In any case congrats to Monica and her major come-up.
