“YGEA, pronounced ‘yega’ in Spanish means ‘to reach’; therefore, it is our mission to reach Young Adults by spreading inspiration in Hip Hop through all genres of entertainment” says Executive Producer, Silveree Benson. “There are too many negative influences and subliminal messages that are being spread through entertainment and it is our goal to set the standard to restore positive imagery back to the Entertainment and Hip Hop Culture. It is, also, our purpose to get young people involved and keep them actively engaged by empowering them with certain positions to oversee throughout the entire process of planning this weekend.” For a complete list of categories and nominees, access the website at www.YGEA.net.
