New Orleans rapper B.G. was indicted by a federal grand jury on gun and conspiracy charges. He could be facing up to 10 years in prison.
According to U.S. Attorney Jim Letten, the 30-year-old rapper was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice.
If he is convicted, the 10 year sentence will come with a $250,000 fine for the gun charges and up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine for the conspiracy charge.
B.G., born Christopher Dorsey was arrested in November of 2009 along with 2 other men and pleaded not guilty last year.
He is probably best known as a member of New Orleans rap group Hot Boyz and their 90’s hit “Bling, Bling”.
