June 27 marks National HIV Testing Day, and we at Hip Hop Enquirer encourage, urge, and recommend that all of our readers do their part in the fight against HIV/AIDS by getting themselves tested! Because knowing is better than not knowing, contact your local health departments to find out the hours and location of a testing site near you.

Our Commander in Chief, President Obama had this to say about the current state of HIV awareness in our country. It is often said that we all know someone who has been affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic that has swept our nation for roughly 30 years now. Even if we’re unable to stop the disease, we can prevent ourselves and others from further infection by a) knowing our status and b) practicing safe(r) sex. And remember the most stylish accessory you can ever carry with you is self confidence and awareness.
