Waka Flocka Flame attends Summer Jam 2011
Earlier this week, Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame sent out a tweet saying that he plans on retiring from the rap game after this year.
Since he had not given any explanation or elaborated on the tweet but his mother/manager, Debra Antney did speak with RumorFix.com to confirm that he is indeed quitting rap.
“He talking about quitting. He’s sick of this. We all are,” she said. “We’re all disgusted with this stuff. You can’t trust people.”
And today, Waka himself finally spoke on the situation:
“Yup, absolutely true. I’m tired of going through what I go through, and punk asses always rain on my world. There’s so much different haters, fake smiles, different hugs,” he said on V103’s Ryan Cameron Show. “I’d rather work at Wal-Mart than rap.”
