A 61-year-old Woodstock, GA man has finally been arrested after a week on the run from Gwinnett County Police, for allegedly setting a teen on fire. Joseph Raymond “J. R.” Zeock is charged with first degree cruelty to children, false imprisonment, solicitation of sodomy and aggravated battery. According to Woodstock police, the 17-year-old victim is being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital. He told authorities that Zeock attacked him and promised him money in exchange for performing sex acts.
The pair met up at the Suburban Lodge in Woodstock and that is when the victim said he was bound, gagged and set on fire. Zeock fled after the incident, according to investigators.
Norcross police received a tip that Zeock was staying at the All Around Suites on Medlock Road in Norcross. Officers arrested Zeock at the hotel and he is being held at Gwinnett County Detention Center.
