VH1 recently announced the latest installment of their Rock Doc documentary series, “Planet Rock”. The two-hour documentary, executive-produced and narrated by Ice-T, will highlight the connection between the hip hop culture and the crack cocaine era of the 1980s.

Its been twenty-five years since crack-cocaine first emerged into American cities and in this documentary we will see how it completely changed popular culture, especially hip-hop, with  rare footage, photos, animation and  stories from four dealers-turned-rappers.

It will feature rappers Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Wu-Tang Clan members RZA and Raekwon.
