Captain Mike Parker of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department just released a press statement saying that in the interest of justice, rapper The Game will not be prosecuted for the “accidental tweet” that went out to his half million followers. “The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will not be seeking criminal charges.” “Based upon our investigation, as well as consultation with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the LASD considers the criminal investigation into this matter closed.”
Celebrities will soon realize that having a strong twitter following gives them a certain level of power and it is not to be taken lightly or irresponsibly. Being conscious of what is tweeted from a twitter account is wise because it has the potential to cause great harm to people, so hopefully this will be a lesson to all those who choose to use their twitter account to do silly things.
