This month’s issue of T Magazine (The New York Times Style Magazine) will be graced by one of the leading Jazz musicians in the industry, Esperanza Spalding. The Grammy Award winning musician is featured on the cover with her large hoop earrings and stunning afro puff. Read more below:
Sally Singer, News and Feature Director of T Magazine, says that Spalding is “a celebrity for all the right reasons and at the top of her game, in her artistic medium.” Singer spoke very highly of Spalding at the White House Poetry slam. “If he [President Barack Obama] had a favorite jazz musician, it would be her,” said Singer to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) online magazine. Hopefully, Spalding continues to soar in her chosen craft and continues inspiring others along the way.
