Excerpt from the Interview:
“For the last couple of weeks we were video chatting regularly. I was·just talking to Nas. Both her and Nas were born on September 14, so·we were going to Barbados with all of them for her birthday.· She really·doesn’t look forward to her birthday, you know what I’m saying?
Just a genuine, good person… She fell in love with someone who had·issues. She loved hard. “Okay, I’m gonna tattoo your name on my arm. I·love you.” And she would do anything that person would do to get close·to the love. If that person had different issues, then she might have been·in a different space. Amy was just a real person. I’ll do everything I can to·let everyone know who she can’t speak to.” —As told to Rob Kenner
Just today, Amy Winehouse’ Back to Black album became the best selling album of the 21st century in the UK.
