Hip Hop Enquirer had the chance to sit down with one of Atlanta’s most influential businesswomen, Keshia Walker of Insights Marketing. After receiving her Bachelor’s from FAMU and an MBA with a Concentration in Marketing, Keshia worked in Corporate America for top companies like Proctor & Gamble, Bellsouth and The Coca-Cola Company. As many budding moguls feel, the Marketing guru felt that she needed to branch out and build her own empire. In 1998, Keshia started Insights Marketing which has produced some of the most sought after events, including events for Essence Magazine, Kentucky Derby, Magic Johnson Enterprises and Josh Smith, to name a few.
HHE talked with Keshia about “stepping out on faith” to build a business that’s been successful for thirteen years now, and her “hustle”. Â Two words that Keshia used to describe her hustle were “industrial” and “versatile”. Â Keshia also gives advice to budding entrepreneuers on everything from money management to startup expectations.
