In today’s “You probably don’t care, but we’ll tell you anyway” news, TMZ reported that R&B singer Ruben Studdard and his wife have filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences”. Ruben was the winner of 2003’s American Idol but his career never took off the way some other American Idol alumni such as Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks’ careers did.
Studdard and his soon to be ex-wife, Surata Zuri McCants were married three years ago back in 2008, and have no kids.
