Apparently Vanessa Long has had a change of heart and has decided not to divorce her cheating husband Bishop Eddie Long. Story developing!
Disgraced Mega Church leader Bishop Eddie Long has been dealt another blow from the scandal that rocked his Baptist church this morning. His wife Vanessa Long has decided to end their marriage of many years after a long and emotional deliberation according to her recent statement to the media.
“After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long,” Long’s wife, Vanessa, said.
She said she filed for divorce Thursday and hopes it will move along smoothly.
“I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter,” she said. “I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition.”
The well-known sex scandal involving Bishop Eddie Long, began when four young men, all former members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, filed suit accusing the bishop of lavishing money, trips and gifts on the young adults, while having sexual contact with them.
We can’t say we didn’t see this one coming, as the allegations of sexual encounters with young men by Bishop Eddie Long had to be more than any one woman could have bared. Long has yet to release a statement about the divorce filing.
