This past Friday, superstar mommy-to-be Beyonce sat down with Katie Couric on ABC’s 20/20 to address all of the rumors surrounding her pregnancy that many news outlets have started to call “bizarre”. Beyonce told Couric that her and Jay-Z are keeping the due date secret to protect the baby. “The truth is, it’s safety. I just want to make sure I can have a peaceful day. And I want to make sure my child is protected” said Beyonce.
Beyonce also addresses rumors of her using a surrogate, how overprotective Grandma Tina Knowles and Auntie Solange already are of the baby and why she’s keeping the sex a secret. “I don’t care. I just want–I’m just like everyone else. And now I know why people say that, it’s true. I just want [a healthy baby],” said Beyonce on if the baby is a boy or girl.
