Miami has a new songstress. Cherlise first began singing at age 11 and worked her way from cleaning studios for session time, to becoming a major artist. She was discovered by her current manager, Percy Forrest, on the video set for rapper Fat Joe. After meeting with Joe she met songwriter/producer Rico Love Love and Cherlise worked over the next two years, and when Love closed his deal with Universal Motown for his Division1 imprint, he quickly signed Cherlise.
As of lately, she has the industry buzzing from her summer single “Love You Right” featuring Lil Wayne. She is set to release her debut mixtape “Ground Zero” on December 19 and it will be available on Itunes. “Ground Zero” fully encompasses everything I want my first mixtape to be about. It explains my journey in full detail and is self explanatory. Just when I think I’m getting somewhere, 1st record deal, 2nd record deal, everything seems to crumble. From relationships to career aspirations….it’s my humble beginnings. It’s an introduction to the audience of who I am and a quick glimpse into my struggle and quest for triumph. It’s a chance for my fans to build and grow with me.”
