Vibe reported yesterday that Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo, best known for his 2008 hit “Dey Know”, was hospitalized due to complications with diabetes. Shawty Lo has actually been battling the illness for 11 years. His manager Johnnie Cabbell stated “He suffers from diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well”.
It’s also been reported that Shawty Lo will soon be back to doing shows and appearances after signing a deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records, to power the overhead costs of Shawty Lo’s D4l Records.
