According to New York Daily News, it looks like Diddy may be facing some legal woes. The hip hop mogul is allegedly being sued over his “Empress” fragrance by a hair product company of the same name. Empress Hair Care, a Texas-based hair product company claims that in February 2010, Diddy reached out to them for permission to use the name. According to court documents, Empress Hair Care declined the offer because they didn’t want to create market confusion.

Even though the company allegedly declined Diddy’s offer to use the name, “Empress”, it looks like he went ahead with the use of the name and launched his fragrance for women. Empress Hair Care is claiming infringement of a federally registered trademark and unfair competition.
