In case you aren’t one of the 20 million viewers that have seen Nicki Minaj’s “Stupid Hoe” video on the internet, then you won’t be seeing it on 106 & Park anytime soon either. TMZ reported that a rep from BET stated that the network has banned the video but did not give details as to why. The single “Stupid Hoe” is supposedly taking shots at fellow female MC, Lil Kim. Politics, maybe? Although the rep wouldn’t respond, sources at the company claim that the video has been banned because it’s just “too explicit for tv”.
BET is the same network that banned Ciara’s “Ride” video back in 2010, even while other networks such as MTV and VH1 had no problems airing it, which will probably be the same for “Stupid Hoe”. Welcome to the world of post-Uncut BET!
