Just today XXL Magazine dropped their highly anticipated 2012 Freshmen Cover featuring the likes of French Montana, Future and Iggy Azalea. Although those artists are definitely making a name for themselves in 2012, many hip hop fans were left wondering why obvious breakthrough artists such as A$AP Rocky didn’t make the list. Rumors circulated that he turned down the opportunity but in a recent interview with DJ Drama, A$AP Rocky goes into detail about why he didn’t appear on the cover. When asked by DJ Drama if he declined an offer to be on the list, A$AP responded, “Nah, not even. I was busy. I wouldn’t have minded doing it, it’s just you know”.
