We have just learned that admitted shooter George Zimmerman will be charged as early as tomorrow morning for the senseless killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin by Florida Special Prosecutor Corey. Our source has confirmed that an arrest warrant is being drawn up as we speak.
Yesterday, George Zimmerman’s attorneys announced in a very unusual manner that they will no longer be representing him. During a press conference in Sanford Florida yesterday, Attorneys Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig spoke about the current relationship they have with Zimmerman and Sonner is quoted as saying, “It’s not so much that we are resigning. It’s that we cannot continue to represent him until he comes forward. We have not spoken with him since Sunday”. Many have already questioned how the duo decided to release such a statement in light of the fact that they have not even met him in person.
Zimmerman, who shot and killed unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has been in hiding since the story broke. According to the attorneys, Zimmerman has failed to respond to texts and phone calls from them since Sunday. Although they are currently out of contact, both attorneys say they would be willing to pick the case back up but Zimmerman must contact them. Also at the conference Uhrig criticized the media and Martin. He condemned the media for putting their own spins on the story and Martin for “battery against George Zimmerman.”
Zimmerman contends that the shooting was “self defense” and that he did not commit the crime because of race. The case has been building for over a month now and it has finally reached a boiling point with the New Black Panthers putting a $10,000 bounty on Zimmerman’s head and the National Socialist Movement (a neo-Nazi group) patrolling Sanford. Sources close to the investigation believe that Zimmerman will be arrested within the next 48 hours.
